A NEW FIELD MISSION IN BASILICATA AND PUGLIA
The team of the Graff-IT Project has just carried out a new field mission, organised by Dr Sabrina Centonze, in several urban and extra-urban sites of Matera (Basilicata) and the Gargano area (Puglia). Hundreds of alphabetical and figurative graffiti, many of which are still unknown to scholars, have been surveyed in the Tramontano castle and the cathedral of Matera, in several rock-cut chapels in the Murgia Sant’Andrea plateau, in the sanctuary of St Michael the Archangel at Monte Sant’Angelo and in the rupestrian church of Ognissanti on mount Gargano. An interview was also released to Antonella Losignore for TRM Network by Prof Carlo Tedeschi and Dr Sabrina Centonze. Special thanks to Raffaele Paolicelli, Francesco Foschino, and Raffaele Rinaldi.
